Synopsis of the film: Manik who pulls Thela cart for a living takes a passenger vehicle by depositing his only hard earned saving as advance. Though his wife Sarala objected to doing it, his covetousness caused by the word of Anal, the sales executive of Motorcar Company (showroom) made him summarily ignore her. Manik's decision made the family face problems galore getting them all into trouble including Manik himself.

Director’s biographical sketch or brief description of film Chaaknoiya:
Nava K Nath started his carrier as an independent filmmaker in 2009 through his debut short film ‘Rengonee’. It was participated in the competition section of Cine ASA Guwahati International Film Festival 2010, Assam, India.

He scripted/directed four nos. of short film like ‘Rengonee’ produced in 2009, ‘Aahar’ produced in 2010, ‘The System’ produced in 2011, ‘The Last Date’ produced in 2012 and a documentary film on the basis of Hornbill festival of Nagaland, India namely ‘The Chequered Land’ produced in 2013, it was screened at the DC Bungalow of Kohima, Nagaland (India).

And the ‘Chaaknoiya’ is his debut full-length feature film produced in 2016. It was participated in the section of Cinema of the World in 15 th Dhaka International Film Festival 2017, Bangladesh, participated in the competition section of 1 st Guwahati International Film Festival 2017, Assam, India and got Best Sound Designing award in the 10 th FESTICAB 2017, Burundi.
